Jim has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1993 and owns Carter Veterinary Clinic. He has owned Brittanys since the late 1990's and has always enjoyed working with and training dogs.  We started breeding in order to produce dogs we could compete with in AKC events.  It is a joy to watch a dog transform from a puppy to a perfectly trained, national caliber competition dog - especially when you are the owner, breeder, and trainer of that dog.  Jim likes to keep puppies from our litters to start in the field every year.  The kennel and competitions are a passion of ours.  We have puppies in hopes of finding our next Brittany superstar.  We look at the kennel as something that should be fun and enjoyable, and not feel like a job. We have met many people over the years and have built lasting friendships through the dogs and competitions.   Jim is currently the President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Brittany Club and he organizes multiple field events each year for the chapter, some of which we host at our plantation - Micajah Plantation.   He has also served as 4th vice president of the American Brittany Club and organized the 2010 and 2011 American Brittany Club National Gun Dog Championships. Additionally, he is also a licensed AKC Field Trial Judge.
