FC AFC Twist'n Tequila's Shadow has unparalleled pointing instinct,  an incredibly strong bird drive, and a very nice shooting dog range.  She has made an outstanding finished gun dog. FC AFC Twist'n Tequila's Shadow entered adult competition field stakes in 2011.   We were incredibly proud of her placement in the Open Gun Dog stake in her first three trials as an adult.  Our hopes and dreams for her placements to mount as her training became stronger and she matured came true.  She cast a quality image as a gun dog and her gait on the run was beautiful and fluid.  We are most proud of FC AFC Twist'n Tequila's Shadow's major accomplishment of earning her AKC Field Champion and AKC Amateur Field Champion  titles.   In 2013, in only her second year running as a finished dog, FC AFC Twist'n Tequila's Shadow brought home 4th place at the National Amateur Gun Dog Championship and was the highest placing female in that national stake.

FC AFC Twist'n Tequila's Shadow's sire is Hall of Fame inductee NFC FC AFC Shambo's Dark Shadow, who continues to reign as the top winning hour All-Age Brittany in the history of the breed.  In 2001 he was named the National All Age Championship.  He has 44 1-hour All-Age placements throughout his career and is an 11x American Field Champion and 10x American Field Champion Runner up.  He was also named the 2002 Iams/Royal Canin Dog of the Year.

FC AFC Twist'n Tequila's Shadow's mother is Hall of Fame inductee DC AFC Tequila with a Twist, who is a 2x American Brittany Club National Dual Dog of the Year award winner, and was awarded the 2008 American Brittany Club National Conformation Champion at the National Specialty show. She finished the 2008 field trial season as the #2 All Age Brittany in the country.  She was a 2x American Field Champion and 4x American Field Champion Runner-up and has also placed twice at the Brittany All-Age National Championship.  DC AFC Tequila with a Twist was sired by Brittany Hall of Fame inductee NFC DC AFC Tequila's Joker, who was the 1997 National All-Age Champion.  Hall of Famer NFC/DC/AFC Tequila's Joker was also a 8x American Field Champion, 5x American Field Champion Runner-Up, had 26 All-Age hour wins, and of course was a conformational show champion.
