About:
Naked Gunn

Carter Brittany Kennel's Naked Gunn is one of the newest members of our competition string and shows extraordinary promise in the field and reminds us of his sire, Carter Brittany Kennel's legendary NGDC NAGDC FC AFC Peter Gunn, who is the only gun dog in Brittany history to have been awarded every national gun dog championship title and award.  Pete made Brittany breed history in 2009 as being the only dog to hold both the National Open and the National Amateur Gun Dog Championship titles.  He was also awarded the National 2010 Magnum's Masked Man award for having the highest amount of gun dog field trial wins/points of any dog in the country.  Peter Gunn made history again in 2012 by winning the National Tri Tronic's Top Shooting Dog Award and becoming the first dog in the history of the breed to have been awarded every National Gun Dog/Shooting Dog Title and Award.  Peter Gunn remains one of the top performance Brittany gun dog's of all times.  NGDC NAGDC FC AFC Peter Gunn is from Carter Brittany Kennel's litter by 1997 National Amateur All Age Champion NAFC FC AFC Walker's Gunner x Carter Brittany Kennel's AKC Amateur Field Champion AFC Bullet's Renegade Miss Megan.

Naked Gunn's maternal line also packs a powerful punch.  His mother, Carter Brittany Kennel's Destiny Willbemyne is sired by the legendary 2x National Gun Dog Champion and National Amateur Gun Dog Champion 2xNGDC NAGDC DC AFC High Hopes Dark Nite. He is the second dog in Brittany Breed history to have earned both the National Gun Dog Championship title as well as the Natonal Amatuer Gun Dog Champship title, behind NGDC NAGDC FC AFC Peter Gunn.  In additional to his national championship wins, 2xNGDC NAGDC DC AFC High Hope's Dark Nite also has multple other national gun dog championship placements and holds the record for the most national gun dog placements of any gun dog in brittany breed history with a total of 6.  High Hopes Dark Nite is sired by Brittany Hall of Fame inductee NFC DC AFC Gambler's Ace in the Hole who was the 1998 National All Age Champion and 1999 Iams Dog of the Year.  2xNNGDC FC High Hopes Dark Nite was whelped by 2006 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion NAGDC FC AFC High Hopes Fly By Nite who accumulated 85 total places during her 9 year campaign.  NAGDC FC AFC High Hopes Fly By Nite holds second place at this time, behind her son, for the highest awarded number of national gun dog placements than any dog in the history of the breed with a total of 5:  2004 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion Runner-Up, 2005 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion Runner-Up, 2006 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion, 2009 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion 3rd Place, and 2010 National Amateur Gun Dog Champion Runner-Up.  NAGDC FC AFC High Hopes Fly By Nite was also runner up for the National Magnum's Masked Man Award in 2004 and 2005 and was awarded the National Magnum's Masked Man Award in 2006 for having the highest amount of gun dog competition points/wins awarded of any dog in the country.  Naked Gunn's mother, Carter Brittany Kennel's Destiny Willbemyne, was whelped by Carter Brittany Kennels FC AFC Gunn's-A-Blaz'n who was the 2016 Southern Open Brittany Champion and is an American Kennel Club titled Field Champion and American Kennel Club Amateur Field Champion.
